Since 2008, Paleis Het Loo has enjoyed financial support from the BankGiro Loterij, the cultural lottery of the Netherlands. Paleis Het Loo receives an annual donation. In 2016, this was € 300,000.00 and with the so-called ‘earmarked canvassing’, Paleis Het Loo also generated € 394,038.00 by itself.
In 2015, Paleis Het Loo received a one-off additional donation of € 350,000.00 for completing the project ‘Dutch Delftware in the palace gardens’. For this, 45 pottery replicas are made of the 17th century Delft Blue garden vases of Willem and Mary, using original production techniques.
Foundation ’t Konings Loo
Historic Society Oranje-Nassau
When the decision was taken in 1970 to give Paleis Het Loo a museum function, a number of enthusiastic residents of Apeldoorn set up a support foundation with the aim of representing the museum interests of Paleis Het Loo. In 1972, the Foundation ‘t Konings Loo was set up and a start was made in canvassing funds for the extension and restoration of the museum collection. This took place thanks to the efforts of many volunteers who look after the museum shop, the transport of museum visitors from the stables to the palace, handing out the audio tour, the support of the garden services and giving guided tours.
On 1 June 2015, these volunteers were transferred to Paleis Het Loo and these activities are now undertaken under the auspices of the museum. More information: email@example.com
The Historic Society Oranje-Nassau was founded with the aim of gathering together art objects and historic documents connected to the House of Oranje-Nassau. This has now developed into a unique collection of paintings, prints, drawings, water colours, miniatures, coins, medals, letters, china, pottery, costumes and trinkets. Since 1977, the collection has been on perpetual loan to Paleis Het Loo. More information: www.oranje-nassau.org
