Paleis Het Loo has two attractive restaurants and a kiosk. The restaurants are in the grounds of Paleis Het Loo and are accessible for all visitors to the palace. You can make use of the restaurants (on presentation of a valid admission ticket) from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Royal High Tea
In the West Wing of the palace, adjacent to the croquet lawn, you will find restaurant Balzaal. You can sit at a table indoors, enjoy the lounge corner or find a place outside on the terrace and enjoy our service and the wonderful view.
Curious about our royal dishes? Please have a look at the menu.
Colonnades and Kiosk
When you visit the gardens, you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. You will find the kiosk behind the Colonnades. When you stroll along this covered columned passage, right behind the gardens, you have a wonderful view across the gardens and the palace. The kiosk has different opening times to the palace and a limited menu.
Would you like to visit Paleis Het Loo with a group (10 people or more)? Then various arrangements are offered by the restaurants at specially reduced prices. If you are interested in this, please make use of the application form.
Please let our restaurant staff know if you have special wishes, allergies or a diët. Our chef will gladly prepare an appropriate dish.
In the Koningin Wilhelminazaal [Queen Wilhelmina Room], we serve a princely high tea. There is also an adapted high tea specially for children! Discover which sweet and savoury treats you can taste and reserve now online.
Prins Hendrik Garage
The second restaurant is on the Stallenplein near the main entrance and has a view across the impressive stable complex. The Prins Hendrik Garage is a self-service restaurant. You can immediately see what treats are in store for you! During the winter season, the Prins Hendrik Garage has adjusted opening times.
The dishes in the self-service restaurant change daily. From cakes to salads, there is something for everyone.
The restaurants of Paleis Het Loo also think of the younger visitors. Fully reflecting the garage style, there is a tool box in the Prins Hendrik Garage, containing a delicious fantasy roll with frankfurters, press fruit, Chocomel or Fristi and a packet of crisps! They can use the set of coloured pencils to finish colouring the box and they also get a colouring picture.
